Idyllic as a long weekend themed escape for two, or, with two boutique style double loft bedrooms, it can also accommodate four guests for longer stays / exploration of the beautiful County of Cornwall. Centrally located in the historic mining town of Redruth, it is set over two levels above the renowned “La Belle Art Deco & Antiques” – with owners Michelle and Danny being ideally suited to indulge their passion for Art Deco when sourcing the apartment’s furnishings and design features / ephemera.
The apartment is accessed via its own private entrance, with off road parking for 1-2 cars and a decked area for alfresco dining. Once inside, the high vaulted apartment offers a spacious open plan sitting / dining area, with Art Deco style sofas, and burr walnut 1920s formal dining table, with original 1920s/30s dinner service and china. Art Deco wall lights and two magnificent period standard lamps – one in the form of a gilded palm tree, all help create an ambient atmosphere. Whilst an Art Deco cocktail cabinet and authentic period reclining chairs allow you to sit back and relax with a ‘Manhattan Cocktail’ whilst indulging in the perusal of books and literature on the glitz and glamour of the roaring 1920s.
Each loft bedroom is accessed via a separate stairway (one a spiral staircase) and look down upon the main living / dining area. Furnished with original period furniture, lighting and large glamorous Art Deco mirrors, both bedrooms have comfortable modern double beds and purpose built wardrobes.
Ideally / centrally situated for exploring the whole of Cornwall – just 2 minutes from the main A30, it’s a perfect location / base for exploring further west, with Penzance and its Art Deco lido being just 18 miles away. St Ives, with its art galleries and lively restaurants and cafes is a similar distance. The port of Falmouth, with its Maritime Museum and wealth of independent shops and restaurants is only 10 miles. The apartment is located close to public transport links, which makes it perfect for exploring the County via rail or bus during the busy summer months.
For those who prefer rural, rather than coastal exploring, Carn Brea Castle [originating from the site of a 14th century chapel] is less than a mile away and is surrounded by the Mineral Tramway / Great Flat Lode Trail, which allows you to explore the conserved historic tin mines of the area, whilst taking in the rugged breath-taking scenery.

- Due to the nature of the furnishings / contents of the property, unfortunately we are unable to accept / accommodate children (no under 21s) or pets.
- In order to secure a booking, a 25% deposit is required with full settlement four weeks prior to arrival date.
- Due to antique contents, a £250.00 (refundable) damages deposit is required.
- Default changeover day is Friday.
- Minimum 3 night stay.
